Our robotics course offers beginning and intermediate levels of study in the design and use of robotics. Through the use of the VEX EDR (high school) and VEX IQ (middle school), as well as the RobotC programming language, students will be exposed to the concepts, techniques, and practical workings of robotics design and programming. Through the scope of the course, students will learn to work as contributing members of a cohesive team to design, produce, and test their robots. Concepts studied will include motor control, gear ratios, torque, sensors, timing, program loops, decision-making, and propulsion systems. During this course, students will assemble teams and design their own robots to compete in local tournaments for the VEX Robotics Competition.
